Before blood donation, the level of hemoglobin in the blood, the blood type of the ABO system is determined by direct method, RH affiliation, and the presence of Kell antigen.

After blood donation, the following indicators are determined:

• Confirmation of the ABO system blood type by a double (cross) reaction;
• Determination of the D antigen of the Rh system;
• Phenotyping by the Rh system, determination of the K antigen;
• Antierythrocyte alloantides;
• Alt indicator.
